Maria is 19 years old, she was born in South-America and grew up in Europe.
Her adoptive parents never wanted to speak with her about her parents.
When Maria in the metro meets a girl who claims to know her sister and father,
she decides to travel to Peru and get to know her family.
The film is an emotional journey, which grasps the Marias particular perception and her perspective on the world as a road-movie.
Maria's voice, reading from her diary, brings us close to her experiences, inner longings and fears.
Poetic images, depicting her inner world in a slow rhythm, contrast what happens around her.
The exciting journey, the restless town Lima, the looking forward to but also uncertainty of meeting her family.
